Finding my niche

It's Fall 2023 and here I am in another photography course at the museum. Only this time, the course is dedicated to urban landscaping. Super cool, right? Right! This class is also run by Kathy and it embodies a more free-form approach compared to the summer intro class. We explored how to look at every day things from a different angle: how light falls across a manhole cover, reflections in office building windows, surface texture, shadows, shapes, or the neon green door on a gray city block. Sometimes we got creative and worked on created double exposures in camera or focusing on a small detail of a subject instead of the bigger picture.
